DOUBLE SPIKE - PoultryNet™ 12/48/3 Electric Netting KIT (48"X164')
PoultryNet 48 is a prefabricated fence that arrives at your door as a complete roll with the posts already built into the mesh/fence. The white vertical plastic strings are "welded" to black and white electro-plastic horizontal strings and supported by white plastic PVC posts--which are pre-built into and spaced throughout the netting. The energizer system is not included.
The close spacing of the verticals (every 3 in.) and lower energized horizontals (every 2 in.) combine to create both a physical and a pain barrier to birds and predators.
Uses:
To contain and control the movement of chickens, ducks, geese and other poultry.
To prevent raccoons, coyotes, dogs, and other predators from killing poultry.
To rotate poultry to fresh grass as a food source and to reduce disease risks.
Double spikes: Double-spike posts are now available for all nets that are 42 in. or taller. They support the net better when soils are moist, sandy or loose.
Why the addition of double spikes?
Requests from customers - particularly those with less hand strength which allows foot pressure to be applied to the net post itself.
A recognition that some customers don't have to deal with clay-loam soils and hot, dry summers. Double spike nets are not easy to put into dry, hard soils.
The addition of taller nets to our inventory.They cannot be pushed as easily into the ground as small nets because you cannot lean on the nets while pushing.
Effective fencing to:
Keep in: poultry, sheep, goats and cattle
Keep out: deer, bear, raccoons, rabbits and skunks
